Meet Kristen
Kristen Andre, R.SLP, CLSP
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Certified Lactation Support Provider (CLSP)
Kristen is a wife, mom of three, Speech-Language Pathologist, and Certified Lactation Support Provider with a focus on newborn, infant, and pediatric feeding and swallowing.
Kristen was born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada. She earned her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma in 2012. She has extensive experience supporting communication and feeding challenges in children with complex disabilities, and is a certified SOS trained feeding therapist.
When Kristen’s niece was born with significant oral ties that greatly affected her feeding, Kristen saw first hand the tremendous impact this had on the whole family. Not only was it extremely difficult to watch a baby struggle to eat, but seeing how hard it was on the family was incredibly heartbreaking. It also opened Kristen’s eyes to how huge the gap is for supports focusing on infant feeding, especially when oral ties are involved. She realized her background and skill set put her in a unique position to make a positive change in this area, and has quickly gained a growing passion for supporting families through their infant feeding journey.
Kristen’s love and passion for learning has led to ongoing post-graduate training. She has become a Certified Lactation Support Provider, as well as a specialist in pediatric feeding disorders and oral motor treatment in infants and toddlers. She has also completed extensive training in the area of Tethered Oral Tissues. Kristen is committed to staying current in evidence-based best practice and continues to pursue advanced training opportunities.
Kristen is dedicated to providing support and guidance to families to help them meet their feeding goals!
